Description:

Login Canada is a growing distribution company seeking a dynamic Warehouse Manager that is detail-oriented, organized, and self motivated. As the Warehouse Manager you are recognized as being a vital part of the supply chain process and will oversee and guide a team that is responsible for the efficient receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of textbooks across Canada. Your above average ability to manage a team will be the key to your success. You will be responsible for managing processes and systems while ensuring that productivity targets are met and maintained. You will be passionate about workplace health and safety requirements and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock. You will deal with personnel issues such as the recruitment and training of warehouse staff, conduct oral/written reviews, and will be required to oversee picking, packing and distribution activity on a daily basis.
Requirements:
Education: College degree preferred; operations/warehouse management training and experience required; some management or human resource coursework preferred. Proficient with PCs (MS Office).
Experience: Two years in a warehouse management or supervisory position; experience in order processing and customer service required; knowledge of transportation rules and regulations preferred; book industry experience is a plus.
Skills: Excellent verbal & written communication; good grammar; proofreading and editing skills; project management; organization; scheduling; prioritizing; math skills; phone/email etiquette; computer (data entry, word processing, technical hardware & software skill); office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copier);ability to forge and build relationships; able to lead team to results.
Personal Attributes: leader; detail-oriented; accurate; organized; assertive; has initiative; can integrate other's ideas; works well in a fast-paced environment and under pressure; able to meet deadlines; comfortable working with a wide variety of personality types; responsive - able to change priorities quickly; independent worker; responsible; can handle multiple responsibilities and projects; excellent attendance and the ability to work overtime when required.
