Optician FT (12 month contract) | Optician in Nurse & Healthcare Job at Loblaw Companies in Su1

- Assist in achieving company shrink objectives and support shrink initiatives
- Stay current on new products and complete lab work, dispensing and contact lens fittings
- Assist Department Manager in ensuring accurate and timely completion of all paperwork associated with the running of the department
- Act as a liaison between the Company and your customers and/or community
- Communicate with department staff, store management, head office support and vendors on all pertinent issues
- Assist Department Manager in delegating duties and responsibilities, ensuring excellent standards and operating conditions including flawless merchandising execution, and all cleaning and equipment maintenance is performed as per standard schedules
- Ensure that there is a consistent offering of high quality products available to the customer
- Rotate and reline stock, remove discontinued stock and products
- Ensure correct prices and labels are in place
- Inspect and remove damaged merchandise and get credit accordingly

- Must currently be a Licenced Optician
- Leadership skills
- Sales experience in a general merchandise/hard-line retail department
- Previous retail work experience specific to retail operations required
- Be flexible to be scheduled days, evenings and weekends
