Description:

This is NOT a ad for a nightclub DJ's and is for mobile DJ's only.

We are now accepting resumes from both experienced mobile disc jockey entertainers and trainee Disc Jockey entertainers as we begin our 2011/12 expansion.

Experienced DJ applicants should have at least 2-5 years verifiable experience as a mobile disc jockey performing at weddings, wedding anniversaries, company parties, birthday parties for children and adults, as well as for school and teen dances. We are also willing to train suitable applicants.

Applicants must be over the age of 18 years, have a clean drivers license, and have their own vehicle.

Applicants may be required to provide a Edmonton Police Services Pre-Employment Criminal Record Check and may also be required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Search to perform in schools/children's events.

Applicants must have a VERY diverse knowledge of all types of music (from old time waltzes to today's current hits), and an above average knowledge of professional sound & lighting equipment.

We will provide all of the equipment & music that is needed for each event based upon the package that is booked by our client. All of our systems come with both OtsAV and Virtual DJ software equipped laptops, and Denon dual CD units.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist with loading the equipment for delivery to event location, set-up of the equipment, perform as per the contract for the client, tear-down and assist in loading the equipment at the end of the event. In many cases, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the delivery/load-in, set-up, show and tear-down and equipment return after the event themselves.

The successful candidates must be able to work without supervision, as well as to troubleshoot audio/visual equipment. The successful candidate will be expected to have available a basic tool kit for doing minor repairs.

Remuneration will be at or above the industry average (between $100 and $300 per event plus OT and tips). Typical hours of work will range from 2:00 PM to 3:00 AM on Friday/Saturdays and for most daytime school dances, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM depending on time frame dance is booked for, and time required for set-up/tear-down.

Those applicants who have no experience will receive their training as an unpaid apprenticeship but will, upon completion of their training, be paid the same as other staff when doing solo shows.
