Multiple roles required: 1 Full Time position
Reports to: District Loss Prevention Supervisor

Description:

- To deter, detect and apprehend shop thieves within our retail locations
- Detect and conduct internal investigations
- Detect and identify possible shrink concerns
- Teach and coach colleagues on loss prevention policies and procedures
- Attend and participate in all management scheduled meetings and huddles
- Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely and professional manner
- Compile and present evidence for the purpose of court or arbitration
- Attend and participate in all management scheduled meetings
- Record daily activity, complete incident reports in a professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service as required

Qualifications:

- Diploma in Law & Security or Police Foundations program is an asset
- Knowledge of Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act and Powers of Arrest
- Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and work on call
- Must hold a valid driver's license, own a vehicle and be willing to travel within and surrounding areas
- Previous experience with CCTV and DVR systems is an asset
- Possess superior customer service skills
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs, particularly Excel
- Previous inventory counting and reconciliation experience is an asset
- Previous retail experience in fresh and/or receiving is advantageous
- General profit and loss understanding
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as a member of a team
- Exercise common sense and good judgment when making decisions
- Proven time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to walk/stand/sit/work in confined spaces for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work with a high degree of honesty and integrity
- Must be licensed as a Security Guard
- Previous loss prevention/floor walking experience an asset
- Previous retail experience especially within a unionized environment an asset
- First aid and/or CPR training advantageous
