Position Description:
Permanent Full time daycare position working with children ages 2.5 to 5 years old.
Start Date:
We have two ECE positions available:
Position 1 – Available as soon as possible
Position 2 – To commence in September 2012
About Us:
The Clubhouse Child Care Center is a non-profit charitable organization providing full child care services for families in Central Kelowna. We provide a supportive team environment for our staff, encouraging continuous learning and ongoing training.
Qualifications:
•ECE certification and valid license to practice
•Early Childhood Educator Experience
•First Aid and CPR
•Clear Criminal Reference Check
•Medical Clearance
ECE Skills:
•Knowledge of and ability to program within a play-based curriculum
•Demonstrated knowledge of Child Development
•Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities and field trips
•Establish guidelines for behaviour
•Knowledge and application of Licensing Regulations
•Provide a nurturing atmosphere that encourages creative expression through art, dramatic play & music
Essential Skills:
•Interpersonal skills
•Problem solving skills
•Critical thinking skills
•Ability to work with and mentor others
•Job task planning and organizing
