The General Manager will be responsible for the overall management and operation the marina to ensure goals and objectives are met. This role includes the supervision of staff, overseeing maintenance of facilities, and ensuring a high standard of customer service. The GM will work closely with various departments to drive growth and maintain all health and safety requirements. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Prepare, analyze and manage the operational budget of the property and improve profitability. Operation of the entire marina asset and business to ensure efficient and profitable operations and reaching the maximum potential of the facility. Responsible for all local permitting compliance. Coordination of annual inspections as required by local municipalities. Provide exceptional customer service to ensure an excellent experience for our customers and guests. Oversee the marina's financial data by retaining daily financial entries and reconciliations. Perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries. Ensure that the property is clean and attractive in order to maximize occupancy. Recruit, onboard and train top quality team members. Performs other duties as assigned or required. Required Education and Experience Bachelors Degree preferred Five (5) years previous management experience which included direction of personnel, related budgeting activities, and customer relations. Must have a solid understanding of marina operations. Experience in managing multiple projects at one time. General accounting knowledge and basic understanding of financial statements Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Must be able to swim CPR and First aid certified Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to field management teams Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluation situations and making decisions. General seamanship knowledge, boating right of ways rules, basic navigation, and inshore and offshore mooring techniques. Physical Demands: Physical abilities required for job. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Outside work for extended periods of time in various weather conditions. Frequent walking, reaching, bending, turning, and stooping, Normal vision and hearing ranges required. Must be comfortable using all dock equipment and materials (gas pump, boats, ropes, anchors, among others). Outside work for extended periods of time in various weather conditions. Work tasks may be performed both indoors and outdoors. Working in wet and slippery conditions. Frequently working in an outdoor, hot, and damp environment.
