Middle School and Sports Ministry Director FT ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: To support the vision, mission and guiding principles of Authentic Life Church by reaching, leading, and discipling our Middle School Ministry and our Sports Ministry.Authentic Life Church is a new church of about 1000 and exists to help people build authentic relationships with God and others. We execute this purpose by focusing on growing people in worship, service, generosity, community, and evangelism. We are an outreach church, focused on creating environments that are conducive to both bringing in the unsaved, reaching them with the gospel, and discipling them toward maturity. REPORTS TO: Pastor of Students and Care PURPOSE: Authentic Life Church is seeking a Christ-centered individual to work with gifted volunteers, parents, and form strong staff relationships to lead and grow our Middle School Ministry (grades 6-8, avg attendance 70). This person will also continue to develop and grow our new Sports Ministry. Authentic Life Church is a bible-believing, evangelistic church. Our preaching style is relational and our worship is God centered and deeply experiential. Authentic Life Church is in Littleton, Colorado. (www.authenticlifechurch.com)This job is currently full-time.Salary range 40-45k.To apply or to get more information, please email: XXXX@authenticlifechurch.com HELPFUL CHARACTERISTICS: Passionate, Strong Leadership, Self-Starter, Highly Creative, Organized Strategic Planner, Team Player, Takes Initiative, Positive and Optimistic Attitude, Compassionate, Good Listener PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: MIDDLE SCHOOL MINISTRY: Lead the weekly gathering (Wednesday nights) Create environment that is relatable to unbelieving students and also clearly guides committed students into deeper discipleship. Experiential Worship – Passionate, expressive, wholehearted. Community – People first. Grace. Patience. Relentless authentic relationships. Biblical Teaching – Surrendered, grounded, consistent, relevant. Activities/Events/Outreach (For both Community and Evangelism) Plan at least one activity per month. Including hang outs, worship nights, overnighters, service projects, etc. Plan Summer, Fall and Winter retreats. Plan an annual mission trip. Discipleship/Youth Leadership Design and implement a system for discipleship. Raise up student leaders into leadership roles, calling them to deeper levels of devotion. Marketing/Outreach Oversee marketing for the Middle School Ministry as it relates to social media, web content, flyers, etc. Volunteer Leaders Recruit, train and build a team of adult leaders to mentor and disciple students. Parental Support Work with parents to help them better disciple their children. SPORTS MINISTRY: Plan 2-4 sports quarterly There should be sports that are both competitive and recreational. Grow the sports ministry to be a front door to ALC. These ministries should be invitation and evangelism minded. Marketing/Outreach Work with our communications department to communicate to the church through social media, website, emails, etc Volunteer Leaders Recruit, train and build a team to create an environment of prayer and evangelism. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a heart for Middle School Students, and Sports. Must be willing and able to work at a fast pace within a variety of settings and circumstances, with composure and flexibility. Must demonstrate a high level of trust and should be ever conscious of the need for a high level of confidentiality, and exercise discernment and wise judgement. Must be a self-starter and team player that is loyal to the vision of the ministry. Must be willing to attend Authentic Life Church. Participate in weekend services and all-church activities, including staff and prayer meetings.
