We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our client's team in a restaurant setting, contributing to their commitment to providing exceptional culinary experiences. If you have a culinary background, excellent cooking skills, and the ability to manage kitchen operations, we invite you to apply for this position. Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience Work Setting: Restaurant Ranks of chefs: Cook (general) Responsibilities: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies Inspect kitchens and food service areas Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food Supervise kitchen staff and helpers Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment Clean kitchen and work areas Organize and manage buffets and banquets Manage kitchen operations Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail Repetitive tasks Standing for extended periods Work under pressure Personal Suitability: Client focus Organized Reliability Team player Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 40 hours per week
