We are inspired by our consumers, and consciously strategize how we can exceed our five star shopping experience. The Opportunity: We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team. In this role, you will focus on company-wide financial reporting and play an integral role in forecasting, budgeting and other analysis. You will report to me and work closely with the Accounting team as well as cross-functionally across departments. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the three financial statements, be well-versed in financial planning, and have strong analytical skills. Responsibilities: Build and maintain forecasting models for operating expenses, working cross-functionally to align teams to company spend targets. Prepare weekly sales reporting for the leadership team. Perform variance analysis between actuals and forecast/budget. Partner closely with the Accounting Team at month-end to book accruals and ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial reporting. Assist in the preparation of the monthly reporting package for leadership and cost-centre owners. Maintain profit centre, cost centre, and GL account hierarchy mapping. Perform ad hoc analysis and modeling as needed. Note that some of the above responsibilities may be tweaked slightly based on the candidate's experience and areas of strength. Any such minor amendments to the above will be shared with the candidate as a part of the hiring process. What you bring to the table: You have 1-2 years experience in a similar role/or environment. You have strong financial planning and analytical skills. You enjoy working in a team and building and maintaining relationships. You have a curious mindset and a desire to learn. You value the quality of work and putting your best foot forward. Location: We have flexible working arrangements for the team. This role requires you to be in the office (East Room located at 507 King East, Toronto, Ontario) 2-3 days a week.
