Dental Hygienist

Description:
Responsibilities: Conduct patient screening and oral health assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient medical and dental history Take dental impressions Take X-rays Perform preventative dental procedures including teeth cleaning, scaling, gum stimulation and fluoride and sealant applications Provide oral care instructions including oral hygiene procedures, strategies to maintain and improve oral health Consult with dentists on patient dental care Perform orthodontic procedures under the direction of dentists Follow up all safety protocols and infection control guidelines Certification requirement: Valid registration with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario Education requirement: Completion of college dental hygiene program Qualification Requirement: Proven experience of minimum 2 years as a dental hygienist Proficient in dental hygienist techniques and procedures Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry Proficient in Abeldent, CDR Dicom, Invisalign, Microsoft Office In depth knowledge of dental care services including teeth cleaning, whitening, braces, Invisalign, wisdom teeth extraction and dental implants Proven capability to perform duties in a fast paced working environment Work well with a team, individually and under pressure Extremely detail oriented with a strong client service focus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus Experience using iTero for scanning is a plus Knowledge of orthodontics is a must Flexible to work at weekends Salary: $42.00 per hourWorking Hours: 40 hours per weekBenefits: Dental careWork: In personWhere:Yong Lu Dentistry Professional Corporation250 Dundas St W #105, Toronto, ON M5T 2Z5
