Home: Maitland ManorLocation: Goderich, ONPosition: Activation Aide - 11am-7pm, and 11:30am-7:30-pm(minimum biweekly hours 30) Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent. Experience working with seniors in a long term care setting. Must possess good communication skills, written and verbal. Computer skills an asset, must have a valid drivers licence. An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly. Skills & Abilities/Job Routines Assists in the planning, organizing and implementation of meaningful programs Promotes and supports a team environment Works co-operatively with the Program Manager and facility volunteers Assists with the maintenance and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers, and staff of other departments Shares responsibility for the care of the equipment in the department Follows Occupational Health & Safety standards Attends in service education Participates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans Performs other duties as assigned Interested applicants should apply through this posting.
