This position reports to the Dean of Engineering and Applied Sciences. This position is subject to budgetary approval, and would start on July 1, 2024, or as soon as it is filled.The candidate should possess a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or any other related field, a strong academic background, and an established record of excellence in innovative and scholarly research leading to peer-reviewed publications. The candidate must be registered or eligible for and committed to registration as a Professional Engineer (PEng) in the Province of Ontario. Related industrial experience or academic leadership experience would be considered an asset. The candidate must also demonstrate strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions. In addition, candidates should possess excellent English language skills demonstrating an ability to ensure strong, two-way communications on an ongoing basis that contribute to collaborative/collegial relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the community at large.The Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering offers Honours undergraduate degrees in Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Industrial Engineering. The Department also offers the corresponding Engineering and Management degrees for all the programs. In addition, the Department offers Master's (MASc and MEng) and PhD programs in Mechanical Engineering (with various specializations), and a graduate program (MEng) in Engineering Management. The Department is committed to excellence and innovation in interdisciplinary teaching and research, which is relevant to the needs of society and the local community.
