GENERAL DESCRIPTION We are looking for an exceptional co-op student to join our team in the capacity of an Inside Sales Representative. The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude, a commitment to lifelong learning, and is passionate about new technologies. This role will be responsible for the creation of lighting controls designs, quotations, and proposals and responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining customer relationships in a fast-paced and high-growth environment. Success in this role requires the ability to liaison between internal and external stakeholders to create competitive quotes and proposals in a timely and accurate manner. This role reports directly to the National Sales Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Produce lighting control layout drawings and complete bills of material from construction drawings and specifications. Reference Sequence of Operation documentation and provide a system design conformant to the specification. Prepare full Lighting Control Submittal documentation. Develop and deliver proposals to customers. Identify, engage, and work with distributors and lighting fixture OEMs to setup model numbers, ordering codes and logistics needed to facilitate the sales transaction. Participate in product management planning. Disseminate digital marketing material to prospective customers. Make outbound correspondence (phone, email, etc.) to potential customers and follow up on leads. Manage an accurate and up to date sales pipeline through a CRM tool. Work with customers to support inquires on order status, warranty claims, and RMAs. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Currently enrolled and completing a University Degree in a related field. Demonstrated a strong academic performance with GPA of 3 and above. Experience with lighting controls and systems is a plus. Demonstrated experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques. Experience with BlueBeam or AutoCAD design tools is beneficial. Ability to read and understand construction drawings such as electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, lighting or mechanical drawings. Ability to explain complicated concepts to a variety of audiences and skill levels. Good written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills. Self-motivated and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to work in Canada. We value diversity and inclusion and encourage applications from all qualified candidates.
