We are presently accepting resumes for Specialized Resources Supervisor to ensure the provision of high quality supports to people supported in Accommodation Services based upon Personal Outcome Measures and Basic Assurances as the measurement tools. To provide leadership, and supervision, through coaching and mentoring in a team environment for employees working in the Accommodation Services Division. The Supervisor will be a change champion ensuring Empower Simcoe's philosophy and culture of support for each individual supported. They will be accountable for the performance of frontline employees within the Treatment and Specialized Resource settings, resulting in quality supports and services. The Supervisor will participate in the after hours on-call support system to ensure continuity of supports. This position will identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support the cost effective and innovative solutions in alignment with the business objectives of Empower Simcoe. Compensation package: Work up to 75 hours bi-weekly; Minimum starting rate of pay is $36.61 per hour ; 11 paid statutory holidays; Employer paid confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family members; Following the successful completion of a 3-month probationary period: Employer paid benefits (life insurance, short- and long-term disability benefits, health and dental); Group RRSP plan with Employer matched benefit up to 5% of gross earnings biweekly; Employer paid vacation hours, sick and personal leave time. Minimum requirements for this position include: Proven successful completion of post-secondary degree or diploma in developmental services or closely related field; and/or a combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities; Minimum of 2 years recent full-time supervisory experience leading teams in a community residential setting providing support to individuals with an intellectual disability; Demonstrated skills in inclusive leadership, including building relationships, problem solving and decision making, self-awareness, championing change and innovation; Demonstrated ability to apply leadership and managerial principles in an ever-changing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of The Council on Quality and Leadership values and have the proven ability to convert the Personal Outcome Measures and Basic Assurances into operational practices at all sites and programs. Knowledge of the Quality Assurance Measures Regulation, Ministry of Labour regulation, and Occupational Health and Safety Act. Special factors of this position: Current valid certificates in First Aid/CPR, and Safe Management Group Crisis Intervention; Current valid driver's licence and own reliable transportation to be used in the course of employment; Participate in a 24 hour per day, seven day per week on-call system on a rotational basis; Onsite presence required, with the exception of job responsibilities that occur offsite, to promote team building, ensure accountability and quality of services; Monitoring multiple sites to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all people supported, employees, students, volunteers, and visitors; Ability to work in a computerized environment. Duties and responsibilities (including, but not limited to): Working collaboratively with the Manager of Clinical and Treatments services to ensure that supports and services to people are provided effectively as requested by the person; Monitoring programs and sites effectively in relation to quality and dignity of support being provided by employees and ensuring effective timely response to the changing needs of individuals; Ensuring all legislative compliance requirements and acts are being upheld. Including but not limited to Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, Quality Assurance Measures Regulation, Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services Regulations, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Ministry of Labour Regulations, Fire Compliance Regulations, etc; Providing training and regular monitoring of all employees regarding all legislative compliance requirements and acts; Ensuring the timely completion of support documentation including, but not limited to the Individual Support Plan, Personalized Supports, Behaviour Support Plan, Health, Safety and Financial Audits, Rights Assessments etc; Leading staffing teams to assess individuals needs and develop plans to support the person to enhance essential life skills, such as meal preparation, budgeting, communication, self-care, community participation and employment; Problem solving and collaboration with others, both internally and externally in seeking solutions and options to ensure quality supports and services for each person; Effectively managing crisis situations and successfully identify, analyse, and solve problems; Proactive and responsive communication with families to collaboratively plan for effective supports including addressing concerns brought forward promptly; Ensuring the successful application of the Personal Outcome Measures and Basic Assurances for each person receiving supports; Working in collaboration with the Continuous Quality Improvement Manager to analyse Personal Outcome data, and effect changes to supports as needed or requested by each person supported. Through the demonstration of excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective, timely communication within Accommodation Services and other with other areas of the Organization.
