Job Description: As an Administrative Assistant at our organization, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the payroll functions for our employees. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with statutory regulations, and effective communication with internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse workforce.Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, bonuses, and deductions.Validate and reconcile payroll data to maintain precision. Compliance and Legislation: Stay updated on payroll regulations, tax laws, and other statutory requirements.Ensure compliance with HMRC guidelines and other relevant authorities.Provide guidance to the team on legislative changes affecting payroll. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals.Provide training and development opportunities for team members.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.Streamline payroll procedures to optimize accuracy and reduce manual errors.Stay abreast of industry best practices and implement relevant changes. Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze payroll reports for management review.Provide insights into payroll trends and make recommendations for improvements.Collaborate with finance and HR teams for accurate financial reporting. Employee Support: Address employee inquiries related to payroll matters.Collaborate with HR to ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding processes.Conduct periodic training sessions for employees on payroll-related topics. Qualifications: Proven experience as assistant or in a similar role.In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax laws, and compliance requirements.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Proficient in payroll software and MS Office Suite. Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Professional certification in payroll (e.g., CIPP) is desirable.
