About the Role: Join our team as a vital member responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in our Child-Minding program. As part of our dynamic team located at the city's recreation facilities, you'll play a key role in providing supervision, fostering enjoyment, and facilitating educational activities for our young patrons. If you have a passion for working with children and ensuring their well-being, this role is perfect for you. Our Ideal Candidate: Compassionate individual with excellent interpersonal skills. Genuine love for working with children. Ability to maintain a positive and fun atmosphere. Ensures safety and welfare of all participants. Adaptable and dependable. Handles challenging situations with composure. Knack for creating engaging and interactive play experiences. Desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children in our community. Qualifications: Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent high school diploma. One (1) year of experience working in childcare and/or babysitting. Current Standard First Aid and CPR certificates are required. An equivalent combination of Management approved training and experience may be considered. Additional Requirements: This position has been identified as Safety Sensitive and requires the completion of a satisfactory pre-employment drug screen. There will also be a requirement to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check and Interventions Record Check.
