Bobcat & Doosan of the Peace (a division of Rentco Equipment Ltd). is a fast-paced local company that has been servicing Grande Prairie and the Peace Country for 60 years. We are a full line Bobcat dealership as well as the dealership for Doosan Heavy equipment. We boast a strong sales and service team, and a fully stocked parts room. We are currently looking for a full-time Heavy Equipment Technician (2nd Year Apprentice to Journeyman) to join our Service team.As the Heavy Equipment Technician, you are responsible for: Troubleshooting and completing diagnostic repairs Completing the installation of new and added on equipment Cleaning, lubricating, and other maintenance work Ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies Maintaining a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques You have the following skills and education: Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (or 2nd-4th Year Apprentice); or equivalent Class 5 drivers’ licence with a clean abstract and the ability to go on service calls when required Experience working on bobcats, loaders, etc. Knowledge of power, electrical, and hydraulic systems Ability to be flexible and to work well under pressure You can work in the following conditions: 40 hours a week plus on-call and overtime when required Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, both at our shop and at customer locations Working with your hands and lifting heavy objects Working while wearing PPE required including steel-toed boots and safety glasses Bobcat of the Peace offers: Competitive wages Comprehensive benefits RRSP/DPSP program Stable, year-round employment with great hours (Monday-Friday from 8:00- 5:00 pm with occasional over time) Free rentals and employee discount Promote from within policy Employee Referral Bonus Fantastic team to work with Monthly cake days to celebrate birthdays and work anniversaries Powered by JazzHR
