We employ more than 1,200 people in environmental waste management and recovery, renewable energy, paving and construction, aggregates, and emulsions chemistries.Growth and transformation are a natural part of our business, and our employees evolve with us.We are looking for a Drop-off Attendant at our Walker Waste & Recycling Drop-off Depot located in Niagara.Drop-off Attendant This is a temporary from April till September role reporting to the Operations Supervisor. The hours of this position will be 30 hours per week, including a Saturday rotation. You will politely provide the general public with instruction on the types of materials that can be received at the drop-off site to ensure that waste is acceptable and complies with the Environmental Compliance Approval government regulation. You will also provide a variety of job skills and duties to support site operations. This includes: * Greeting and directing customers in a polite and service-oriented manner. * Working to maintain the grounds and facility. This includes such duties as sweeping, litter collection, controlling odours and occasionally painting. * Coordinating traffic flow to ensure safety of customers and fellow employees on the site. * Safely directing the public to the correct dumping locations. * Checking for contamination in loads and pleasantly explaining approved wastes to customers. * Kindly responding to customer inquiries or concerns and providing information. * Occasionally operating site loader to load waste and recycling into appropriate bins. Qualifications: * Passion for Health and Safety and Environmental Performance. * Loader Operator experience considered an asset. * An enthusiastic team player with excellent customer service skills including courtesy, tact and diplomacy. * Good communication skills - able to work with diverse personalities. * Capacity to follow directives and fulfill requests. * Ability to work with limited supervision.
