We aspire to be integral to improved health outcomes for all people requiring specialized nursing care: provincially, nationally and globally. We invite you to join our creative and committed team of educators who are grounded in participatory and learner-centered practice, education and research.Duties and Responsibilities: Provide excellent teaching and learning experiences for students through innovative classroom, simulation, clinical and distance on-line education. Participate in future focused curriculum development by designing, developing, evaluating and revising high quality learning materials. Collaborate with external partners to strengthen program partnerships and improve health outcomes. Actively participate in projects and initiatives in the Specialty Nursing Department, School of Health Sciences and BCIT. Contribute to and support a healthy, collegial and scholarly work environment through professional development, professional practice and/or participation in research. Qualifications: Five years recent clinical experience in Perinatal Nursing; tertiary care experience required. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (one degree must be in Nursing). Experience in nursing education. Advanced Specialty Nursing Certificate or CNA Certification preferred. Must possess a participatory, learner-centered philosophy. Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills. Current BCCNM practicing license. Computer literacy required, and educational technology preferred. Ability to travel.
