To this end, Cadeon Associates Inc. is seeking a Data Analytics Developer to support the design, development and delivery of business analytics capabilities using the Tibco Spotfire platform. Comprehensive knowledge of TIBCO Spotfire is required, including custom development, administration, data set design, and optimization. The candidate will have expertise performing data extraction and manipulation from relational database systems as well as the ability to perform exploratory data analyses as needed. The candidate will collaborate closely with colleagues in order to understand and help refine analytic specifications for use in the development and maintenance of custom TIBCO Spotfire code. This person should be a developer or come from a development background with Tibco Spotfire as well as have SQL and database experience. Recent experience in the Oil and Gas upstream sector will be considered a strong asset.Some of the main duties include working with business users to develop data mining 'analyses' using Tibco Spotfire and other statistical analyses packages, deploy and train new users on the use of Tibco Spotfire and data mining tools. The role may also involve developing complex visualizations utilizing data mining tools. Experience: A minimum of 6 years of custom development experience with at least 2 years using the Scrum delivery methodologyA minimum of 2 years of experience using Spotfire Professional and Web Player loading data from databases, creating visualizations and filters Desired Skill Set: Experience delivering custom solutions using the Scrum delivery methodology Able to independently design, visualize and implement data visualization solutions using data visualization best practises (i.e. Stephen Few). Strong ability to understand analytic specifications, translate specifications into TIBCO Spotfire visualizations and/or underlying code. Strong ability to develop meaningful, repeatable and consistent quality checks throughout the development process. Proficient using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Outlook) Working knowledge of statistics Strong conceptual understanding of relational database systems and strong SQL skills Working knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) concepts Skilled in data modeling 10. Must have experience in data analysis and data mining11. Must be expert in Tibco Spotfire technology specifically Spotfire Professional & Web Player (4.x/5.x)- Working knowledge of all graphical visualizations in Spotfire Professional- Working knowledge of key Spotfire capabilities (filtering scheme, Data on demand, property controls)- Ability to build data visualizations with complex calculations/functions- Working knowledge on using Information designer, building Information links, elements, filters, joins, prompts, and prompt groups.- Working knowledge of performance management concepts in Spotfire- Experience with Spotfire administration activities ( User/group, library, server management etc)- Experience using the Spotfire developer API.12. Must have a working knowledge of how to migrate code across environments (Dev QA PROD)13. Must have strong written and effective verbal communication skills14. Excellent presentation skills15. Able to actively address business requests, clearly communicate commitments, issues, completion dates and provides meaningful status to project stakeholders.16. Must have strong communication skills as this candidate will interface with the business clients directly17. Ability to plan, prioritize and execute in a fast/ high-pressured environment18. Strong Analytical/problem solving skills19. Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision20. Desire and ability to share knowledge, both teaching and learning from IT and business colleagues21. Ability to build relationships and work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels22. Close attention to detail; commitment to accuracy23. Can demonstrate strong self-management and self-organization skills24. Must have demonstrated the ability to work independently or as part of a team25.
