We employ more than 1,200 people in environmental waste management and recovery, renewable energy, paving and construction, aggregates, and emulsions chemistries.Growth and transformation are a natural part of our business and our employees evolve with us.We are looking for a Scalehouse Clerk/ Inside Sales at our Walker Aggregates Niagara locations.Scalehouse Clerk/ Inside Sales Ideally, you have the following qualifications: * At least a year's experience in a customer service role * At least a year's experience in an administration/ sales administration role * Excellent communication skills both verbally and written * Keen attention to detail * Comfortable working in a variety of different settings * Valid G Driver's License and reliable transportation to a number of our Niagara sites. * Excellent work ethic, punctual and flexibility are required. Practical DetailsThis role will be cross-trained with our sales team in roles such as inside sales and dispatcher roles for occasional coverage.Scalehouse * Weighs and documents each truck leaving the quarry to ensure that loads are correct and do not violate safety transportation regulations. * Responds to customer inquiries and to provide information on products and materials. Refers customers to sales representatives as necessary. * Receives payments in cash, cheque and credit cards and completes appropriate documentation to ensure records, orders and cash receipts balance. * Produces a variety of reports such as Transaction Reports, Sales Data Reports and Cash Sales Reports, to provide current information to various departments. * Operates a three way radio system to communicate with various colleagues at the quarry and assist in the smooth running of quarry operations. * Opens and closes the scale house to ensure systems such as computers, security etc., are operating correctly. Customer Service * Responds to central dispatch order system via telephone or online for both aggregate and asphalt products. Serves existing and potential customers to supply accurate pricing and material. * Enters customer orders and all job information, including product pricing and freight, to maintain a current database of customer orders and assist in providing timely and accurate billing information. Sales Admin * Prepares daily, weekly and monthly sales reports to assist the Sales Manager with sales related reporting and decision making. * Addresses customer concerns with invoices and makes corrections to invoices as required. * Administers quoting software to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date. * Performs administrative duties such as copying tender documents and preparing reports, etc. to assist in the smooth running of the department.
