Description:
We are looking for an English speaking veterinarian who will: Perform wellness examinations, diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in an individual animal, through physical examinations and/or laboratory tests. Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, dressing wounds or performing surgery. Vaccinate and titre test, and dispense parasite preventatives to animals to prevent diseases. Advise clients on feeding, housing, behaviour, breeding, hygiene and general care of animals. Perform routine, emergency and post-mortem examinations. Provide a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, surgery, dentistry and euthanasia. Supervise registered veterinary technicians and animal care workers. Responsible for the overall operation of the animal hospital or mobile services. Enforce College of Veterinarians of Ontario and government regulations. Compensation package: Salary commensurate with experience; $124,833 annual salary 40 hours a week, permanent, fulltime 3 weeks vacation CVO annual dues paid Liability Insurance Individual VIN membership Continuing Education Extended Health Insurance
