Description: Healing Haven is currently seeking a full time Occupational Therapist to provide assessment and treatment for children with physical and cognitive impairments We are a state of the art behavioral clinic for children with autism and their families offering a naturalistic, clinic based therapy on a unique campus setting that supports the client through all stages of development between the ages of 2-16. Each clinic is tailored to meet the needs of the age group that it serves. Healing Haven offers a multi-disciplinary approach, offering ABA Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. Other unique services include a 3-month parent training clinic, Counseling services, and Autism Testing and Evaluation Services. We believe in treating the family as a whole, and as such siblings and parents are often incorporated into our therapy. We strive to provide compassionate and creative care to meet the needs of our families. We pride ourselves on our low staff turnover, and a family-based work atmosphere where staff satisfaction and well-being matters (our data indicate 90% of our staff rate their work experience as highly satisfied) We Offer: Competitive salary based on experience $2,500 sign on bonus Ample paid time off Access to medical, dental, and vision insurance Generous employer contribution to medical benefits Employer paid life insurance Access to short term and long term disability 401K retirement plan Opportunities to foster and develop new programs related to talents and interests in occupational therapy as it relates to sensory output and behavior analysis Talented and dedicated colleagues Optional team building opportunities A fun and innovative atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else Job Responsibilities Include: Implementing assessments for program placement Implementing assessments to measure progress Developing curriculum Supervising programs Creating and implementing customized occupational therapy plans with ongoing data analysis to modify as necessary Facilitating parent meetings/ parent training to ensure consistency between the home and clinic Collaborating with multiple professionals to ensure consistency and quality of care Writing reports and collaborating with payors to maintain authorizations Staying current with research and new methodologies Other duties performed by an Occupational Therapist Requirements: Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy Current and unrestricted State of MI Occupational Therapist License Knowledge of behavior analysis and autism preferred, not required Maintain caseload of billable hours A fun and compassionate disposition with an open mind geared toward learning Managerial experience is a plus, but not required Ability to communicate effectively Willingness to lead with a positive attitude even in times of stress Credentialed to bill insurances (Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care Network, Aetna/Cofinity, Cigna, Priority, Beacon Health Options, HAP, United) highly preferred but not required.
