Plasman Global Headquarters is seeking a new member to join our team as: Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Manager The MES Manager is responsible for managing the implementation, operation, and standardization of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) solutions to meet the business requirements. The MES Manager will work closely with stakeholders to understand the processes and requirements of manufacturing operations and associated systems. The MES Manager will provide day to day support, problem solving, and ongoing enhancements to continuously improve the MES landscape. Key Responsibilities include: Manages and supports MES related system at Plasman locations in a 24x7 real time JIS, JIT, and repetitive manufacturing environment. Manages support of the MES hardware across Plasman locations to ensure maximum business continuity. Responsible for vendor management of related components to support MES. Provides monthly metrics related to uptime and system maintenance of all MES. Oversees disaster recovery and business continuity for MES and Plasman locations. Manages MES related projects, integrations, and initiatives between various business systems and standardization of the MES landscape. Works with vendors and cross functional departments to develop enhancements, poka yokes, PLC interfaces, automations, data collection and other MES related solutions. Leads research and development of MES and related systems and technologies. Responsible for the implementation and support of sequencing and vanning systems. Supports new and existing MES related customer product launches and requirements. Manages the licenses, and source code for MES, in-house development as well as manage 3rd party vendors to support and maintain the development and code as required. Ensures personal and associate awareness and understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO/IATF 16949 (includes ISO 9001) Standards, and company policies and procedures. MINIMUM EDUCATION/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a secondary school Information Systems diploma, degree or equivalent experience. Extensive knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems Must possess IT / MES related certification(s) MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have 10+ years of MES / IT experience in a manufacturing environment with preference given to candidates with automotive manufacturing experience. Must have an excellent cross functional knowledge of related businesses processes that associate with Manufacturing Execution Systems. Knowledge and experience developing and supporting databases, web apps and API's. Strong work ethic and ability to manage simultaneous tasks and responsibilities while under pressure and in deadline-driven environment. Good sense of judgement, critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication and documentation skills, well-organized and detail. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to perform well in fast paced situations. High level of precision and attention to detail. Navigate, comprehend, and communicate complex processes. Capable of independent travel to, from and within designated regions. Access to reliable transportation. Available for after-hours calls/support.
