QUALIFICATIONS: • Licensed Truck and Coach Technician (310T)• Minimum of three years experience on heavy equipment (Truck and Bus); including air brakes;• Possess a valid unrestricted MTO Class “DZ” Driver’s Licence, or equivalent.• Must be knowledgeable of diagnosing multiplex wiring and data systems. BASIC DUTIES: • The Technician’s duties and responsibilities include:• Performance of mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on municipal vehicles.• Maintaining the qualifications relevant to the posting.• Maintaining equipment such as tools and various shop equipment• Performing oxyacetylene and electric cutting, and welding as required.• Completion of Mechanical Fitness inspections and repairs under MTO Guidelines.• Participation in on-going training; and adhere to health and safety regulations.
