About The Role: Our ideal Vet Assistant will counsel and educate clients, under the direction of a Veterinarian or a RVT, on various aspects of animal care such as dosage/purpose of medications, home care, vaccination requirements, and preventative healthcare recommendations. In collaboration with the team, they will suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing. They will also greet, handle, and treat animals in a way that contributes to an environment in which animals feel safe and secure. VA certification or experience is a requirement. The VA duties will also include helping out with DVMs in appointments with patients, medical records and explaining medical procedures and tests. We would also require one weekend shift per week.
