We employ more than 1,200 people in environmental waste management and recovery, renewable energy, paving and construction, aggregates, and emulsions chemistries.Growth and transformation are a natural part of our business and our employees evolve with us.We are looking for a General Labourer at our Walker Brothers Quarry locations.General LabourerToday we have opportunities for you to join us as a General Labourer at our our Walker Brothers Quarry location. Duties of the job: * Able to work well in a team setting and be self-motivated; * General clean up by hand (shovel & wheel barrow), and/or machinery (skid steer); * Operating a skid steer. * Lifting and carrying parts and steel. * Work in a safe and efficient manner. * Able to lift parts or pieces weighing 50 lbs on your own throughout a shift; * Able to work outside in pleasant & unpleasant weather conditions throughout the year; * Able to work at heights; * Able to work in confined spaces; * Able to work safety around large mobile equipment; * Able to work safely around processing, moving equipment; * Achieve all requirements of Common core training. * Other duties as assigned by Superintendent or Production Supervisor Ideally, you'll have these qualifications: * High school diploma, or equivalent by experience; * Experience in a related aggregate/construction industry; * Experience operating a skid steer/man lift equipment; * Able to operate heavy equipment and/or construction equipment; * Strong mechanical aptitude; * Welding certificates is an asset; * Previous Asphalt Plant or Quarry Experience is an asset; * Common Core Certification is an asset; * DZ Class Driver's License is an asset.
