It is an often difficult path and simultaneously the most rewarding experience for providers, children and families.Who we needReporting to the Director, Development and Communications, we are looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager. In this brand new role, you will spearhead the development, implementation, and assessment of marketing communication strategies and initiatives aimed at engaging a diverse range of stakeholders, including clinical staff and families, donors and corporate partners, as well as government and community partners.Who you areYou may be a Marketing Specialist looking to take the step up into a Manager role, or you are already a Manager looking for a change. You will develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations initiative aimed at enhancing CDI’s image and reputation in the market. Tell our story. You will write, edit, and design materials for various local and national stakeholders. You will assist in the development of visual and narrative content marketing, including email and fundraising campaign initiatives to attract and retain donors, blog content for the website in partnership with clinical leads for subject matter expertise and insights, and marketing content aimed at diverse communities to educate and inform on our programs and services. Align our branding. You will establish consistent and relevant messaging across all marketing collateral and ensure all digital and printed materials, internal and external facing, adhere to our new brand guidelines. Raise awareness and visibility of the organization. You will develop relationships with media contacts such as journalists, reporters, bloggers, and media points. You will prepare press releases and facilitate media requests. Coordinate agency and third-party events. You will be the architect behind each event, from conceptualization to execution, overseeing aspects like venue selection, entertainment, ambiance, and thematic elements. You will lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies for signature and partnership events, reinforcing and nurturing the CDI brand. You have: The experience. You have experience in marketing, communications or public relations, ideally in the not-for-profit sector. You have demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications, events and public relations strategies and are comfortable with data analysis and reporting. The knowledge. You have strong narrative, written and visual skills. You can leverage different mediums, research, and graphics to tell impactful stories. You can create genuine connections with various audiences, adhering to brand standards while adapting your messaging to fit different formats and purposes. You stay up to date with trends and developments in print, video, and digital marketing, social media, and communications. The collaboration skills. You are highly organized and supportive of new ideas and initiatives. You can contribute innovation suggestions and complete deliverables independently and on time. You are a dedicated and flexible team player able to interact with team members and colleagues at all levels of the organization with a deep respect and appreciation of diverse backgrounds and experiences. The technical skills. You have expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and Mailchimp. Bonus points if you have worked with Drupal and WordPress. You can quickly pick up new technologies. The drive. You can apply your outstanding organizational and collaboration skills to balance and prioritize multiple tasks to meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You hold yourself up to high standards of ownership and accountability. You exercise good judgment and awareness of the impact your work has on others. You embrace continuous change and are adaptable to work within realistic yet demanding deadlines.
