We employ more than 1,200 people in environmental waste management and recovery, renewable energy, paving and construction, aggregates, and emulsions chemistries.Growth and transformation are a natural part of our business and our employees evolve with us.We are looking for a Haul Truck Drivers at our Walker - Severn Quarry location.Haul Truck DriverWe're looking for Haul Truck Drivers to work out of our Severn Quarry.In this role, you'll drive powerful, heavy quarry trucks, and do regular and preventative maintenance on trucks and other plant equipment. Primary Responsibilities: * Perform and document all daily pre-operational checkups on the truck being used. * Perform daily general maintenance such as greasing and fluid revision and top ups as required. * Report any immediate repairs required for the safe operation of the equipment to the direct Supervisor. * Operate equipment in the most efficient manner as possible, striving to reduce cycle times and overall downtime while observing the companies safety policies. * Use all required PPE at all times when leaving the equipment's operator station. * Abide by the maximum speed limits posted at each quarry, pit, or construction project site. * Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety program, and encourage all employees, sub-contractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. * Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections. * Work with Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company's Safety Program. * Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others. Although experience is preferred, it is not necessary, the ideal candidate will have some experience working around heavy equipment. We will train you in the operation of our haul trucks, and our safety programs. In addition, we are looking for individuals who have a willingness to learn fast and work hard. Common Core training will be considered an asset.You'll love this role if you like working on a team - we value teamwork and open communication.
