Job Type: Full-timeBenefits: Dental care, Extended health careSchedule: 8-hour shift, No weekendsExperience: 3 years in Family Law (required)License/Certification: Member in good standing, Law Society of Ontario (required)Job Description:We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Law Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years of solid experience in Family Law litigation. As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of key duties related to Family Law matters, with a focus on litigation.Key Responsibilities: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Family Law Rules, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively. Preparation of Court documents for service and filing at the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice throughout all phases of Court proceedings. Proficiency in preparing and understanding financial disclosure documents. Correspondence with clients and the Courts in a professional manner. Exceptional writing and communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational skills to manage caseload effectively. Diligence in keeping clients informed about their matters and accounts. Qualifications: Licensed Member of the Ontario Bar association. Minimum of 3 years of solid experience in Family Law, particularly in Family Law Litigation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Experience with programs such as DivorceMate, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Office 365. Strong judgment, critical thinking ability, and interpersonal skills. Ability to independently manage a substantial caseload. Adaptability to the changing legal landscape and innovation in support of strategic business goals.
