The RoleAs a Sales Manager at Green Farm, you will not only manage a sales team but also actively participate in sales, carrying a sales quota. This role requires a blend of leadership, innovation, and strategy, as you will be instrumental in building and executing sales initiatives, experimenting with various sales channels, and developing a comprehensive sales playbook that will form the foundation for scaling our sales force.Key Responsibilities Spearhead Green Farm’s strategic expansion into the US market, a key initiative and exciting opportunity for growth in this role. Directly participate in sales activities and meet sales quotas. Hire, manage, train, coach and lead a sales team, fostering a culture of success and continuous improvement. Experiment with various sales channels (e.g., LinkedIn, cold calls) to optimize sales strategies. Develop and refine a sales playbook based on successful strategies and experiments. Strengthen relationships with existing clients to increase sales and market new products. Define sales objectives, strategies, and targets. Represent Green Farm at trade events and become a brand ambassador. Run weekly 1-on-1s with each direct report to help them overcome roadblocks and chart their long-term career growth Lead full-cycle business development initiatives, including cold calling and prospecting. Analyze sales and market data to refine sales approaches and track performance. Prepare and review sales plans, targets, and performance, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Design and implement a commission structure tailored for incentivizing performance and driving sales growth. Ensure proficiency in utilizing CRM and sales engagement platforms to support an omni-channel sales approach. Cultivate expertise in lead generation and managing the entire sales lifecycle, from prospecting to closing. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in food and beverage sales, specifically to retail. Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a sales team. Strong experimentation mindset, with a willingness to try various sales channels and strategies. Proficient in building sales playbooks and refining sales processes. Tech-savvy and a self-learner, eager to adopt new tools and strategies. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. You can demonstrate a track record of overachievement against individual and team quotas You have examples of sales reps you’ve coached from underperforming to high-achieving Willingness to participate in trade events and business development activities. Proficient in English; bilingual in French is a significant bonus. Experience in selling dried fruits and nuts is highly desirable.
