Job Responsibilities Prepare walls and ceilings for plastering by cleaning, taping, and repairing holes or cracks. Analyze blueprints to determine the layout and plan of plastering work. Mix plaster ingredients to achieve the desired consistency suitable for the application. Apply, level, and smooth plaster coats using tools such as trowels, floats, and brushes. Pre-inspect surfaces prior to plaster application for contamination or imperfections. Apply acoustic materials or texture finishes to walls and ceilings. Craft and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim to enhance aesthetic appeal. Spray finishes over walls and ceilings to provide a final touch. Adhere to all health and safety standards, ensuring a secure and hazard-free workspace. Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs as required. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution. Communicate with customers to keep them apprised of progress and potential issues. Perform minor repairs and maintenance duties on existing plasterwork. Job Requirements Completion of Secondary School Completion of apprenticeship program OR minimum 2-3 years of experience in the relevant trade. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
