Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentLanguage: EnglishStart Date of Employment (Approx.): As soon as possibleWage: CAD $21.50/HourlyPosition(s) Available: 1 Job Description Duties & Responsibilities Ensure that meals are prepared in a timely manner in accordance with recipes and assembly manuals and charts. Prepare a daily prep sheet as par stocks indicate, levels on hand and amounts required. Responsible for daily and weekly procedures, including temperature checks, food labeling/dating, organized freezer, fridge and dry storage area. Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the restaurant. Train Cooks on the different stations of the kitchen line. Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation, cooking, planning menus and creating new menu items Oversee and coordinate kitchen operations Ensure that food is prepared and presented according to established recipes and quality standards Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment Train and supervise kitchen staff, if required Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines Skills Requirement: Completion of secondary school is required At least 1 year of cooking and culinary experience required in a professional kitchen Bachelors Degree is an asset Job Location: 2685 Arbutus Street Vancouver, BC V6J 3Y4 Canada How to ApplyEmail: By Mail: 2685 Arbutus Street Vancouver, BC V6J 3Y4 Canada
