IPN Brainpower Consulting Inc. Senior Subsea Engineer For our client, a specialized naval engineering company with a worldwide reputation, we are looking for Senior sub-sea engineer to join their Vancouver office. The perfect candidate has a min of ten years of background of subsea system design/construction/operations. His/Her role will consist in project engineering, project management, customer liaison and product support. Responsibilities: Development of various multi-disciplined subsea related projects including sub-sea control modules & associated topside control systems; ROV related subsea and topside tooling and equipment; subsea pipeline related installation equipment & other subsea mechanical/electrical devices Project engineering implying compliance with applicable codes, standards and customer qualifications through the approval of drawings, designs and specifications Lead of design layouts, calculations, design reviews and design verifications Planning & supervision of integration & test of mechanical/electrical systems to verify that the functional & design criteria are being achieved Project Management involving business development, customer liaison and product support so that project quality, budget, and schedule objectives are met Supervision of allocated technical personnel in an organized manner to ensure compliance with the company procedures which form part of the overall operations system Provision of input to the various stages of sales & bidding, project definition, execution and close out of projects Accountabilities: Represent the company at customer meetings Evaluate and review bid vs. customer specification Verify that technical details of bids or orders are well understood by customers Review tender documents and technical specifications in order to provide engineering input to sales Ensure customer liaison and Promote company image and marketability Initiate and/or proactively participate in specific engineering/safety related activities such as: Design reviews, risk analysis, HAZOP, FMECA, FAT, etc. Approve engineering designs Demonstrate commitment to the company processes, procedures and to continuous improvement Demonstrate commitment to safety throughout Project lifespan Execute and maintain project execution plans Monitor and ensure that projects are executed with customer's established quality and performance specification Execute commercial & contractual aspects of the project and facilitate changes within contract T&Cs Lead project commercial and technical risk assessment Overall progress monitoring to project plan Control of project budget and timescales, exercise cost control and manage cash flow Close out projects and create close-out and lessons learnt reports Progress report to client and to company management as minimum experience: Bachelor Degree or higher in engineering or engineering related discipline Min ten years of relevant subsea systems of various size and scope, as well as in project management Proven background in design, integration, qualification testing, commissioning and/or operations of subsea systems Exceptional customer service Great sense of ethics and professionalism Great communication and people skills Proactive attitude toward anticipating problems and taking the appropriate preventive measures Remarkable self-starting, team member and issue solving aptitudes Excellent time management and management expertise Fluency in English, spoken and written Eligible to work in Canada Strong working understanding of offshore working techniques and background in related areas such as risers, subsea trees, wellheads, work over systems, subsea structure, umbilical's, ROV tooling and controls would be an advantage Relocation packages will be offered to the right applicant Please send an adequate resume in a PDF or Microsoft word document, making mention of the exact position title, and without including personal details except of contact info and name, accordingly to Canadian law to: XXXX@ipn-brainpower.com.
