Description:
Permanent Full-time Speech Language Pathologist Belleville, Ontario . REQUIRED:
· Masters Degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology
· Registration in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario.
· Expertise to provide communication and dysphagia assessment and treatment services to adult in-patients and out patients.
· Expertise to provide education in speech and language facilitation to parents/caregivers.
· Expertise to work as part of an interprofessional team.
· Satisfactory work performance in present position.
· Previous proven good attendance record.
· Background with an adult caseload and video-fluoroscopic evaluations.
· Must have own vehicle to travel as necessary to other sites TM and PECM.
DUTIES:
· Provide Speech and Language assessments and intervention primarily for Day Hospital and Out-patients.
· Participate in interprofessional team assessments, goal setting and case management/coordination.
· Maintain appropriate written records and statistics for all patients in accordance with professional standards and hospital policy.
· Engage in program development, evaluation and education activities as determined by the service.
· Complete professional development activities to continuously upgrade knowledge and skills.
· Liaise with community agencies and other related caregivers on patient specific matters
· Provide coverage for other services as required.
· Other duties as assigned.
