Driver Helper (Heavy Lifting Involved) Our client is looking for an energetic and motivated Driver Helper for work in the Peterborough area. We are looking to fill this position ASAP. While we thank you for your submission, only qualified candidates will be contacted. The position itself is based out of Peterborough, however the initial interview will be held in Scarborough. Job overview: This position will involve collecting old refrigerators and appliances from residential areas. You will be working with a G Driver, and MUST be able to repeatedly lift in excess of 120 pounds with a partner. It is a physically demanding position, which involves aggressive deadlines. Tasks involved can include, but are not limited to: - Pick-up heavy products from residential areas/within residences - Handling weights in excess of 120 lbs per pair - Load/unload goods - Use maps and other trip planning aids - Perform pre-rip inspection of vehicle - Professionalism in customer service - Receive and relay details to central dispatch Credentials: - We will be conducting our own criminal record checks. - Previous background with heavy lifting is definitely an asset Shifts: This position will involve day shifts, and may involve some weekend work and occasional afternoon shifts as well. Overtime may be required. It is a temporary position, but may lead to permanent work for the right person. Pay level: The pay level for this position will be $14/hr. Travel area: While the work is central around Peterborough, it may include traveling to the surrounding locations (ie. Kawartha Lakes District, other cottage counties and neighboring towns). Security and Safety: You must be bondable. We will also be conducting our own criminal record check for this position. You will also be required to supply your own CSA approved steel toed footwear.
