Description:
Our well established Edmonton office is currently seeking to add to our team with a newly created Analyst role, which will specialize in the areas of Financial/Operational forecasting and process improvement. Reporting to the Controller, the Analyst will be primarily responsible for providing strategic financial management support within a complex setting. The successful individual will define and develop key performance indicators, analyze and interpret financial and operational performance, track key operational objectives and strategic initiatives to improve the efficiency and profitability of the companies. In addition he/she will be responsible for report design, manipulation, distribution, database design and efficiency tool development, as well as data conversion implementations. Desired Requirements: · Advanced technical skills in SQL, Visual Basic and Database Management
· Min of 3-5yrs hands-on accounting background
· Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Accounting, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant background required
· Previous related skills is strongly desired in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
· Capacity to adapt quickly to change and manage multiple tasks / deadlines effectively
